Program Benefits
As a Talent Transfer Initiative (TTI) teacher, you will:
- Receive a $20,000 transfer stipend during the first two years in your position at your new school;
- Choose which of the participating schools and principals are the best fit for your experience and interests;
- Have the opportunity to take on a new challenge by using your proven teaching ability to help to raise the achievement of students at participating schools while possibly taking on an increased leadership role;
- Have access to a network of the district’s other highest-performing teachers who share your dedication and commitment to increasing student achievement; and
- Participate in a brief summer orientation to promote a smooth transition into your new school and to explore strategies for addressing unique challenges that you may face in transferring to one of our partner schools. The orientation will cover topics such as
- Adjusting to a new and potentially different environment;
- Creating and fostering good working relationships with your new colleagues; and
- Learning to navigate your new school’s systems and processes.
